OUR MISSION
About SSCORWELASS
Sool Sanaag and Cayn Orphans Welfare Association (SCORWELASS) previously known Nugal Valley Development (NUGVAD) provides charitable services to orphans who live in Sool Sanaag and Cayn regions. SCORWELASS tends to provide education as its principal core in order these orphans to achieve their potentials and have prosperous future.
Our mission was based on three goals providing health care, clean water and education.
The SSC Orphan Welfare Association committee based in the town of Laas Caanood went to great lengths in the identification and registration of the orphaned children who have been successfully enrolled to our program.
Currently we have put most of our efforts in provision of clean water and with the grace of God we have completed that stage successfully. We are now shifting our focus to child education especially those who can’t afford to pay school fees.
“Education is and will always be our key goal in the process of trying to transform the lives of these children and community at large. We are therefore praying to God to help us grace through this long journey.”
GOALS
Provision of clean water so that communities would not walk miles everyday in the search of water.
Building a healthcare facility that can give basic medical aid to patients in the area since there is no medical facilities in the area, the nearest being the town of Laas caanood.
Free education for the children in the area.
Donate to a specific project need, for example to “ 20 euros for a wheelbarrow ”, or else to a project generally e.g. “Building a school in Mombasa, Kenya”. You can always donate anonymously. Rather than a one-off donation, you can become a monthly donor. Also a possibility with many projects: donations in kind or donating your time as a volunteer.
Rate it if you happen to know the project manager or if you know more about the project for some other reason. Post your opinion on the project-site, ideally including photos or videos from when you visited the project on-site. You can also ask the project manager questions at any time. Others can use their answers to help them decide whether to donate.
